Sorry for the late post, but iI was a bit preoccupied with other matters this past week. However you guys can expect to see a full leeter+poster set ready to be distributed around JB for next months LYPG!

The first night, we had no agenda at all, so all the leaders had a time of waiting. We gathered alot of visions and things and then the message from God was really clear: We had all lost our first love.

We we’re so happy that the MYPG and LYPG and other things were settled that we felt contented with ourselves. It was so shocking, but we realize we didn’t love God enough.

After that, all we got was Hosea 6:1-8

Come, let us return to the LORD.
He has torn us to pieces
but he will heal us;
he has injured us
but he will bind up our wounds.

After two days he will revive us;
on the third day he will restore us,
that we may live in his presence.

Let us acknowledge the LORD;
let us press on to acknowledge him.
As surely as the sun rises,
he will appear;
he will come to us like the winter rains,
like the spring rains that water the earth.”

What can I do with you, Ephraim?
What can I do with you, Judah?
Your love is like the morning mist,
like the early dew that disappears.

Therefore I cut you in pieces with my prophets,
I killed you with the words of my mouth;
my judgments flashed like lightning upon you.

For I desire mercy, not sacrifice,
and acknowledgment of God rather than burnt offerings.

Then we got the message that we weren’t desperate enough and that we were too arrogant. We talked about revival but we couldn’t even pray through the night. We all thought we were so important since the MYPG and other prayer meetings were going smoothly that we forgot that its God who allows us the victory. Someone said this;

“Seek not the revival, but the GOD of the revival”

We also got the message that we weren’t broken enough. Hosea 6: 1 says that God will tear us to pieces and then restore us. And just nice in verse 2, the FWP was really 3 days, so this passage became our main theme throughout the FWP.

Anyway, on monday we started with the FWP and the main theme was repentance and seeking God once again. I really think that God put the burden on our hearts to pray. We really got so many visions and confirmations that led to show that our hearts were still not right with God.

Then that night we had a special two hour prayer. There were 2 groups, one was the group which would be praying in tongues for 2 hours, which I joined and the other one which was led by a band from KL called by Yoshua. I can’t really explain the whole time. We really got so many visions and confirmations during that time.

The amazing thing is that many people got visions related to:

farming like Hosea 10:12, James 5:7, numbers 33:55 – How we need to farm our hearts
Timid lions – how christians were timid and unready to be used
and during the 2 hour prayer, visions of fire and confirmation – Isaiah 64:2

And really got alot more. But most of the visions relate to a change of heart.

What struck me most was that the fellow MYPG leaders have these gifts so abundantly. In my personal walk I’ve asked God to show me signs but yet when I saw at first I was skeptical. Then i realized that this squared with the theme earlier; we ask for stuff from God but in the end reject it when it doesn’t fit our plans. I even fell asleep when they were confirming the visions. Repented already

Then there was the theme of being broken. Most of us prayed to be humbled since that was another theme of the whole thing.

So now, I’m back and I feel more inclined to continue the LYPG then ever, but first I believe that our youth have to totally change the way they think about being a christian.

Oh yeah, we reached JB at 6+ in the evening. Half dead now.

So, we started the LYPG at around 2 pm when the guys from St Andrews Presbyterian Church (if you guys are reading this heres a shout out to all of you! ;D) arrived.

The guys from Holy Light P.C weren’t able to make it this time due to some other commitments (don’t worry, the LYPG is monthly!), so all in all the attendance was about 31 people, a mighty awesome number if you ask me!

Personally, I’m really satisfied with this LYPG even though the turnout could have been better. Why? That question is best answered with the conviction that things are just beginning! It is my continued hope that more on more youth from more and more churches  would make corporate youth prayer a commitment of theirs!

In closing, I’d like to assure you guys that the info for the next LYPG as well as planning will begin much, much sooner! So, I hope that advertising the LYPG earlier would aid in convicting the hearts of all who are interested! So God Bless, this is Ezra signing out! =)

A little bit of my personal testimony here regarding to the first MYPG and how it changed my life.

Last year, 2008 was a real hectic time for me and I believe that during that time I’d drifted away from God. Ministry didn’t really mean anything to me anymore, not even Gods words in my life daily.

One week before the MYPG, a friend from Agape Kluang came over to JB and we had a gathering. That was it. That was how God called me back to him, and for the first time in a long time I was really looking forward to a christian gathering (MYPG). Life after that was never the same, I made a prayer to God asking Him to make his presence greater in my life everyday and lo and behold life has never been the same!

The change was so great that anyone who knew me from before would have been shocked, myself not the exception!

So, are you guys ready? Ready to pray as a collective, as YOUTH, to make a stand in this Godless generation, for Malaysia?! SO SEE YOU THERE!

Now, down to the serious business.

Attendance was pinned down at 31 people (including adults) , with most being from Hebron and a few others from Holy Light. Now, I’m sure this may seem a little disspointing to some (expecting bigger numbers) but I consider this a great success. Why so? Well, after much effort, what we’ve done here is help bridge the divide between churches, the abolishment of the ‘my church, your church’ mentality!

So, we haven’t yet reached our goal of united prayer, but hey, we’re on the right track. Eventually we’ll see more people, eventually the LYPG’s in JB will be held weekly,  eventually we’ll see many new LYPG’s springing up, and I’m sure that eventually ALL christian youth (hopefully some non-christian ones too) will know what the LYPG is about!
